Deep Dimension Cubes
Introducing a new quilt design with the removable KwiltArt Klock. This quilt design creates incredible depth and dimension. This is a very easy quilt made with four patch blocks (one square and three 1/2 square triangles), in five different sizes. The removable KwiltArt Klock is made with fusible foam and Velcro and the battery operated KwiltArt Klock is inserted through a buttonhole in the quilt and the foam. Because the center is removable, you can change it at anytime with a new design (quilt block, embroidery, photos printed on fabric, seasonally, etc.). It's time to make a quilt with a KwiltArt Klock!!!!!!!!!!!!! Confident Beginner Finished Size 40" X 51"
Convex Illusions is a very easy quilt pattern using strip piecing and simple construction techniques. The combination of shapes and shades creates the dramatic 3D optical illusion. This is the same quilt as "Poppin' In", with the center created in reverse. This quilt pattern is for the confident beginner. Finished size 60" X 60".
Great optical illusion for a beginner pattern. Each 4 1/2" block consists of three half square triangles and a square - the illusion is created when the light, medium and dark are put in the right places. Pattern design is 84 blocks and 8 different layout suggestions are given or you can create your own. Background areas are easily filled in with 4 1/2" squares of background fabric.
Poppin' In is a very easy quilt pattern using strip piecing and simple construction techniques. The combination of shapes and shades creates the dramatic 3D optical illusion. Elegant Star is a relatively easy quilt using simple piecing techniques. The stars are made using Tri Recs rulers or templates provided (your choice) and the bowtie block is made with strip piecing and oversize triangles sewn together and then the block cut down to size to ensure perfect points. This technique is also used in the corners of the large stars. This is easier than paper piecing and just as precise. Double sided tape is used instead of pins for the applique – much easier to applique without pins! Intermediate Finished Size: 44” X 55”
Luminous Cross uses a technique that is easier than paper piecing and just as accurate! The star blocks are made with oversize pieces and then trimmed to size after sewing. Finding the Right Direction
This is a very easy quilt using foundation piecing (can be chain pieced-foundation pieced - I teach this technique in workshops). The corners are made with simple strip piecing. Master templates are included for printing your own foundation papers or you can purchase the printed foundation papers (KwiltArt Item #9009). This is an intermediate pattern. Finished size 46" X 46".
This easy pattern has great optical illusions! When you first see the center cube, most will see a cube with a chunk cut out of it - your brain wants to perceive this with light shining down from above. If you can flip your perception upside down and view it as if a flashlight was looking up at a light colored ceiling, you will see a cube hanging from the ceiling in the back corner. Very cool optical illusion! This is a very easy design using strip piecing methods. The center area can be paper pieced or template pieced. This pattern is for the intermediate quilter. Finished size 50" X 50".
